fatal error on create points

Anyone seen this one....

After waiting for the service packs to arrive, I have installed C3D
2007, LDD 2007, and Civil Companion and Raster 2007. I'm going to
overlook the fact that I am getting fatal errors when I open any 2006
drawing with objects in it (C3D or LDD 2006) and get to the more
annoying fatal error that I get when simply invoking the create points.
I don't even open an existing drawing. I can start the program, and
with the template that loads by default, go to Points..Create Points,
and the menu bar appears then el freezo, fatal error ensues, and
program shuts down.

Have you done a Repair of your Installation?

No, but I guess I will give that a try. One question, will the repair
(which basically I see as a reinstall) undo the service packs?

Nope, it is less than 30 minutes. It is nowhere near doing a re-install.
