exporting volume data

Is there a way to export surface volume data to anything other than xml? Or is there a way to open an xml file and it looks presentable without alot of work? Right now I'm thinking xml is pretty worthless.. Tell me I'm wrong.....

If you can copy and paste the data to Excel.

You can also save the xml file and then open it up directly in Excel or Word.
