Exporting North Arrow

I have a North Arrow symbol in AutoCAD and I'm trying to export it to a shapefile, .jpg or any kind of format that I can use in ArcMap.  I'm new to AutoCAD please be specific as possible.  Thanks in advance.

Type MAPEXPORT and export it out as an ESRI shapefile.

Exporting it to shp format will work however, if the north arrow in in PS then the inserting point may not be what you want and if there is a coordinate system assigned to the dwg that may aso cause an issue in ArcGIS on moving it and placing it where it needs to be.

I would suggect using jpg format.

Type jpgout and select the north arrow, or if there is a lot of detail in the symbo; than setting up a raster plotter from the plotter wizard and select raster format.
