Hi there,
In our office, we've all changed for the 2014 edition of Civil 3d and sometimes we need to export files to a autocad 2007 format (just to read plans for estimating) because we've got people working with previous version.
But it happened several times that i wasnt able to export a file, and i'm not the only one.
Even after : Purging, Auditing, Purging again, AECOBJEXPLODE and explosing everything ....
Nothing to do, doesnt work !
And all of my co-workers with civil 3d 2014 says to me that they have difficulties to export certain projects too.
Anyone here encountered this problem and was able to solve it ?
If so, how did you guy's do it ?
I've had to on occasion Export the file using 2013 instead and that usually works.
Give that a try if you have access to 2013.
Hi there Jay_B,
I've tryed it with civil 3d 2012 and it can't do it because it doesn't recognize the 2014 objects.
Yes 2012 is in the "2010 dwg" format and is not at all backward compatible.
This only works from 2014 to 2013 as 2014 is the first year backward compatibility was introduced
and only to 2013.
That explains why with the 2012 it doesnt work.
Well, i've only got that version of Civil 3d.
Guess i'm stuck ?
If dwg's not too large you could post it here for someone to try it in 2013.
Hi,
Actually it's pretty big since it's a large neighbourhood.
Can't really share it too.
Have you tried using etransmit with the file format in the transmittal setup set to 2007 w/ exploded AEC objects? We've always had pretty good luck with that.
