etransmit isn't sending surface

When using etransmit in Civil 3D 2012, are the Points, Surfaces or Alignments suppose to show up in the tree view? Mine, are not. Reason I'm asking, is because the person I sent my .zip to, was unable to see them. Please help...

I will usually get a link to the data shortcut source file...  I don't often send it though.  I usually want people to just see the results (displayed on the drawing).
