Error adding boundary

I want to build a surface from points. I simply want to add the boundary definition, but upon selecting the boundary polyline, I get an error that says "Error adding boundary". Any solutions?

Try using the map cleanup tools, simplify objects, or check to make sure the boundary name hasn't already been used.

you might also check the Closed option for the PolyLine in the AutoCad Properties. I have had this issue before and either grip editing the line of Changing the Closed parameter to Yes (not sure why it doesn't think its closed) should fix it.

Another common reason for this error message is that you are trying to add the boundary before adding your point data to the surface. If you add your point data first and then create your boundary it should work fine.
