I am sure most of you have seen the Unhandled Exception error, or something similar that references JIT debugging. I noticed the first sentece under the details says "See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box." Has anyone done this? Do you still get the error dialog box that won't go away no mater how many time you click continue or close?
Below are the instructions for enabling. If enabling is benefical, Does one need anymore instruction than what is given below?
************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for thisapplication or computer (machine.config) must have thejitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.The application must also be compiled with debuggingenabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exceptionwill be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computerrather than be handled by this dialog box.
Thanks
I need more help. I am still relatively new to using AutoCAD and so would appreciate a step by step explanation as to how to get this problem resolved. Thanks in advance. I've always found these forums to be very helpful.
You'll want to submit the error message to Autodesk and try to get them to fix the error like this. Although their time frame appears to usually be between 6 months and never to resolve issues in the program.
