elevations changing after I swap an edge

I am working with a surface with which I have lowered the surface by a certain amount, and then I had to raise it again and everything looked great. I also did a translate survey database to adjust the elevations to my points. My points updated, and so did all of my contour labels and spot labels, but then I saw a few flaws in the surface, so I tried to swap a few edges, and then all of my elevations changed to negative numbers. What am I doing wrong? Does it have something to do with the order in which the operation type lists my edits?

I have a correction to my original post...the elevations don't change with a swap edge, but they changed when I removed a point from a point group that I am using as part of the surface.

  1. What version of C3D?
  2. Post your dwg.  It's kind of hard to troubleshoot this kind of thing without the file.
