Editing surface by volume

I have a pumped storage project where I would like to know the water level if a volume of water is removed. Is there an easier way to do this? Currently I have my drawing set up with my base surface and various top water level surfaces. I have been creating volume surfaces for each TWL and populating a spreadhseet that indicates how volume and surface area differs with TWL. It would be incredibly handy to work this in reverse ie ask the volume surface to lose or gain a required volume of water and update the TWL accordingly.

If anyone has any bright or obvious solutions please share them.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum...I don't think there is a direct way to do this but the Stage Storage tool may be of some use - I've never used it so can't offer much more at this point...:)

Look up autobalance in the documentation. Although used normally to balance a site, I believe it allows one to enter surplus as well and it will suggest delta-Z to shift by.

I've used it to autobalance an ugly site and it worked splendidly.

Autobalance is only available when you have grading objects isn't it?
