editing multiple points

In C3D 2006's point editor, I seem to be able to edit only one point at
a time. I've got a bunch of points on a null layer, and I want to
select them all and change all of their layers at once. But when I
select them and click on the layer in the layer column, it selects just
that one point.

I know the workaround is to create a point group of all these points,
but I was hoping there was another way to do it within the point editor.

Thanks.

Actually, that doesn't work. It just puts the group on a different
layer. The individual points remain on their assigned layer.

Instead of clicking on the cell in the table, right-click on the column
heading and select Edit...

That works for multiple selections in most tabular previews.

Yep- he is. When Mark showed me that at ICE (I had spent about a year
looking for a way to batch change parcel styles and parcel label styles) I
almost kissed him.

That trick works everywhere- also works for batch changing pipe styles,
structure styles, you name it.

I wish there was a way to batch change pipe labels though. Maybe there is
in 07 and I just havent found it.
