I had a similar problem with .SID files yesterday. Install the raster design object enabler. Its a free download at autodesk. I looked at it and I do see .ECW in there.

Hi Forum,

i have georectified image in ecw file which is rectified from ER Mapper in the meter unit. When i inserted into drawings which has same coordinate system with ecw file in Autodesk civil 3d 2006, the image can be displayed and orientated accurately.

While i try to open the same drawing and try to insert the same image with Autodesk Civil 3D 2006 (Raster_Design_2007_OE.exe is installed), the image can not be combined correctly (miss-orientation and miss-scale).
Before inserting image, I set drawing's unit in meter then after image is inserted drawing's unit changes to unitsless.

Thanks for any comments.

sorry the words in paragrah #2 should be Autodesk Civil 3D 2007 instead of Autodesk Civil 3D 2006

Thanks
