E-Transmit does not explode AEC Objects in Xrefs

I have my Transmittal settings file format set to: AutoCAD 2007 Drawing Format with Exploded AEC Objects, but the E-Transmit will not explode the AEC objects in attached Xrefs. I can't find any setting that would allow this or prevent this. It worked fine in C3D 2012, but it's not working in 2013.

Any ideas?

I  usually explode several times until only base elements are left. Then purge and audit.

If audit comes back clean, i save as to the needed format.

I haven't seen it work since C3D 2008, without lots of exploding...  Wondering how you got it to work...?

my steps

Etransmit each xref file first then etransmit the final drawing.

After you etransmit each xref, keep in mind where you saved the etransmit file.

Then you go in your final drawing, hit etransmit.

then in the dialog box click on the tab "file tree"

deselect your xref from the "external references", if it does not have check mark, edit your transmital setup, and remove bind.

After you deselect click on the add files button, and select the xref that you had etransmitted.  then finish your etransmit same as before.

That's what I was afraid of.

I think I might just stick with exporting drawings to DWG format. It turns the xrefs into inserted blocks, but I think for the majority of people who request CAD files from civils, that should be fine.
