You have to print it to a PDF.  There is a print driver for this included in the software.  If you go to the print dialog box and choose the printer DWG to PDF, you will be prompted for a place to save the pdf file.

When I go to Print, there is no option for DWG to PDF, where is it and how do I get it?

What version are you running?

Another option is to download the free 'Cute pdf' software that also acts like a print driver in the same fashion.

I'm running Auto CAD 2013 LT. I just got it and there is no pre-set printer driver at all. Is that because it's LT?

I was able to download a PDF Writer for MAC from Lisanet, it works as a printer, but the drawings do not print to scale. This was the only download I was able to find that was MAC compatible.

I managed a work around by using that as the print manager but doing a save as Adobe PDF. That did print to scale, but that means I would have to buy Adobe just to do a save as.

I will look into the "Cute PDF" you mentioned, but I'd still like to know if I should have a built-in PDF writer for CAD.

Thanks so much

I'm guessing you got here from some web search, coz you got blown way off course!

This spot right here where you posted is about Civil 3D, which is built on top of Map, which is built on top of AutoCAD full version, and is not available on MAC.
