Drawing pipes in C3D

I am wondering if this is possible....I am a new user in C3D and i used to cut an existing ground profile and then I would copy that and take off the exaggeration, scale it, etc., then offset it 8 ft from the ground and draw in my pipe. In other words, I am drawing in the pipe how the contractor is supposed to put it in, drawing the fittings and everything, so it is 8 ft below grade. Is there a way in C3D to do this rather than doing it all manually?? Can I tell It I need a 24 inch pipe drawn in 8 feet below the existing ground and volla it does it? Thanks!

This link has some information on how the pipe rules work, you just need to log in, registration is free.

You can draw a polyline in plan view following the route you want the waterline to follow (could even be an offset of the alignment). Convert that to a feature line, and get elevations from surface. Edit the feature line elevations and drop it 8 feet. Now run the 'Create network from objects' command and choose your feature line. Be sure to select the 24" pipe, and use vertex elevations. You'll also need to massage your structure style so as not to show in plan or profile. Currently, there is no way to select a null structure as the structure to use - hopefully be in there sometime soon!
