drawing file from autocad light to civil 3d

how can I take drawing file from auto cad light,  use civil 3d and pull coordinates from the alignment in it?

If you already have AutoCAD Points in AutoCAD LT, you can convert them into C3D Points. Thusly:

What kind of object is an alignment in AutoCad LT?

Can you just copy the object from one drawing to the other?

or

After reading your question again.  Start a new drawing in Civil 3D and insert the entire AutoCAD LT file in it.
