ALD 2006 moving to C3D 2008; Land Surveyor.

Is there an automated button/command that will draw a graphical scale symbol for a legend, or detail in a viewport?

Please be so kind as to answer applicably in both apps.

thanks,
dla

ps: please be gentle

I was informed offline that I could have provided more info, so here goes 😉

If you're looking to get it set back up and have a symbol manager of
sorts like you had in Land Desktop, give this a go:

It takes a little up-front setup, but once it's done, it's done.

We just copied the scale.dwg into our standards. When our users insert it
the attributes kick in and ask what scale it is referring to. I also made a
tool palette for them to drag it onto their drawings. But as far as
'automated' nothing built into the program however i'm pretty sure that a
routine could be written in lisp or VBA to accompish that.

On second thought, doesn't the new 2008 sheet generator allow you to have a
scale inserted automatically? I'm not on 2008 here yet (don't ask).

If all you are wanting is a simple bar scale then here is a lisp routine with a barscale.dwg that will work. Note: It uses the LTSCALE to set the scale numbers and size so if you use an LTSCALE of 1 then open the lisp and change the LTSCALE to DIMSCALE or something.
Mkae sure the dwg is in one of your acad search paths.
Also, make sure attreq is set to 1!
