I have a georeferenced image which I have used to drape over a surface - so far so good
If I change to Realistic View the quality between the original image and the draped image is marked i.e. the draped image is dire and can't be used for a 3D view etc as the quality is so poor.
How can the image quality be retained when draping an image?

Unfortunately you can't. This issue is all over the Map discussion forums.
Is this a recently introduced "feature" or is it historic?
I don't frequent the Map forum very often but I had a similar issue when draping in 3ds Max but that was easily resolved although presumably this is why you have to go to 3DS max for good quality visuals?
I feel a support case looming....

VERY historic. Since they introduced the feature. No way to resample it or anything
