Domed Text

New to me.

I need to place text (logo) on a domed surface to see how it will look in reality.

Not sure how to proceed. Thanks for any help. I have never used 3d

are you referring to placing text on an arc or curve?  arctext command.

I am placing a logo it on an existing water tower and need to decide if it would look good on the domed part.

ah... don't know how you would accomplish that in a cad platform, sorry.

If you have a surface, you could draw the logo as lines or plines (didn't say it would be easy!), then create said lines as feature lines, then project to surface.

Again, didn't say it would be easy!  Hope this helps.

First you need the domed surface. If you don't have that it won't work. I don't know of a way curve text any other way
Thank you

What type of surface do you have, Civil 3D or AutoCAD? What is it's orientation?
