Disassociate a drawing from a project

Anyway to disassociate a drawing from a shortcuts project? I have a drawing that I want to use in class to show people how to create datashortcuts but since it's already associated with a project, it doesn't work quite as simple as I would like it to.

Search before I post.

Search before I post.

I must learn to search before I post.

Associate the drawing with the project <None>.

Brian,

Do you still know how to accomplish "Disassociating a dwg" from a C3D project?

I'm currently using C3D2018 and can't get the previous screen cast to play so the secret still remains.

If you or another could update this post it would be great, thanks.

Seems the way to do this is to "Associate" the dwg to the project <None>. Screenshots below.

I have actually had no problem switching DS projects, and referencing from multiple projects. the XML knows who is who in the zoo. Granted I have only done this on a project with PW

Does anyone have trouble getting this to work in 2022.1.2? When I choose <None> the project remains associated with the dwg.

Yes, I am finding that in 2020 and 2022 the "Associate - None" fix is not working.  Not sure if it is because these dwgs are on ACC vs ProjectWise like before. But it is not working now.  Its frustrating because our basic CADD template is "associated" to a DSP and cannot remove it. Thus takes minutes to open every dwg that is not a civil dwg because its gotta go validate all the shortcuts before opening.

Same issue. Have you found a solution?

No. Not yet.
Still waiting for enlightenment!

Unfortunately no.

I'm using 2023.2.1 and selecting <None> seems to have no affect.
