Morning,
I’m having some issues with my CAD. Every now and then, my contour lines disappear and I can’t get them to reappear. My surface border and triangles will appear but not the contours. Sometimes if I change surface styles they will appear but other times they are gone forever.
Troubleshooting:
None of this has worked… suggestions please.
Thanks
Erika

All I did was change the level of detail off and on again and voila!! Thanks a bunch 🙂
Excellent - glad it worked for you....it is a bit worrying when you first (inadvertently perhaps) turn on Level of Detail and the surface you have spent hours worjking on looks corrupted...!!!!

When I apply the interval to my contours, some of them break and some do not, which i have the break selected. but not too worried about that. The main problem that i have is that some of my contours are disappearing when i put the interval on them. it will leave the interval, but cut the rest of the contour off. I have read other groups and it says to change the detail of drawing which i can not find in autodesk 2005. Any suggestions would help. Thanks
This discussion and solution helped me with a very vexing problem. I have a drawing with a TIN surface displaying contours. After adding contour labels and setting up the paperspace viewports to plot, I had a situation with dissapearing contours - but not all of them. When zoomed in within the viewport where the boundary of the TIN surface is outside of the viewport, a strip or sometimes a block of the contours would dissapear in the output. Typically along one of the edges of the viewport. The contour labels would still be there, but not the contours lines. Everything was fine elsewhere in the output. I initially thoght it was because the viewport was rotated, but that was not it. I then thought the viewport may have become corrupted; new viewport did the same thing. After reading the comments and suggestions here, I turned off the level of detail before plotting and now output is produced as expected. This came after several hours of troubleshooting. I am glad I found this thread.
