Different Sample line increments showing different "cumulative fill volume"

Hi friends,

I have one file contains two surfaces Existing ground, proposed datum surface and one alignment.

Then I have created two sample line groups having same resources and same material list (Earthworks-Cut Fill) in both. One group having sampling increments 20,20,20m and other one is 25,25,25m. (Start-End are same in both groups)

Problem is both sample line groups showing different Total volumes. (means Cumulative volumes)

Any help would be appreciated.

Isn't the volume computed from averag end area? If so I would expect the 5 meter difference to yield different results, no?

Absolutely.  Slight as they may be, there will be differences.
