design speed?

I see where you can set a station on the profile for the design speed at that location, but how far does that design speed run? Is there some where to set the design speed for the entire alignment, or to set a range? If I set the design speed at my beginning station will that carry all the way to the end of my alignment unless I set another station to change it?

Also when I print a report using report manager and printing PVI Station and Curve report how do I get it to fill in the headlight stopping distance?

It looks like when you set a design speed that it stays in effect for the remainder of the alignment unless another speed is specified at a later station.
