Description Keys

I have a user that imported srrvey points and after getting all the points in and set up  has discovered that the point over 100 have an extra 0 in between the letter identifer and the point number so instead of A100 he has A0100 ,  there are several hundred point descriptions to change is there a way to get rid of all the extra 0's without editing each one.

Thanks

i would export the points to a pnezd text file then open it in wordpad and do a find and replace.

Find A0

Replace A

then reimport the points back in.

Do all of these points have the same description, A0100 which you want to change to A100 or are they all different?

If you edit the points you can click on the description header to sort the points by that column.  Shift-select the points you want to change, then right-click on the column header.  One of the options will let you edit one row and that will be applied to all of the selected points.

The points all have a different label number so doing a mass change to the same number doesn't work. thanks Debbie Ford | Cad Specialist Direct: 303.312.8889 | Main: 303.312.8800 | Fax: 303.295.2818 deborah.ford@tetratech.com TETRA TECH EM INC. | Complex World, Clear Solutions (tm) 518 17th Street, Suite 900 | Denver, CO 80202 www.tetratech.comPLEASE NOTE: This message, including any attachments, may include privileged, confidential and/or inside information.
