Delta symbol for survey annotation plot bold when curve text is enabled

Has anyone seen this issue or have a work around? When I add a delta sym to any line/curve or parcel segment label the delta sym displays and prints bold if and only if the curve text option is enabled. It seems to me like the curve text option replaces the delta sym with an arial font and it can only be corrected by turning the curve text off.

What font are you using as default text in the labels?

Leroy.shx is default for the template, line/curve labels and parcel labels.

Ok so I opened the NCS template, copied and pasted the delta data from the parcel curve label style and pasted it into a parcel curve label style in my template and the delta shows fine until I trigger the curve text option again. Once I triiger this option I get a blod delta sym. See the atached img. The top curve label has the green delta from the NCS template and the white one from my template. When the curve text option was disabled it looked like the delta sym on the bottom curve.

Lerox.shx is not part of the default Windows fonts, and I believe that is part of the problem.  When the label is switched to curve mode the software has to recreate it from individual letters and characters.  For some reason it has trouble with non-Windows character sets so it goes looking for a replacement.

Note - you didn't attach the shx files, so I cannot reproduce the behaviour you are seeing.

Yep that's the issue. I changed the font style to use simplex and all is good.

You would think after all this time the delta symbol would have it's own special character status.. i.e. %%
