Deleteing a surface that is linked to another drawing

I'm trying to delete a surface in several drawings. There was 1 drawing created with this surface originally and then someone has re-saved it several times. The surface appears in all of these drawings, however deleting seems to be a problem and it just crashes out. It shows in the prospector as being linked to something but doesnt say what. There are no date references or data links etc. Anyone help?

Have you tried RC in prospector>> select, then delete?

Yeah it doesnt give you the option. I managed to delete it but took about 25-30 mins per drawing to get rid of the surface.

Brian,

How about W-BLOCK'ing out what you want and starting a new drawing?

Problem is i have pipe networks in the drawings. I tried copying everything out but the pipe networks pick up the surface and copy it over. I've managed to sort all the drawings and have data referenced the surface into them now so that the problem doesnt arise again.
