I have a commercial site that I am doing a mass grade on. It is very tight, and will require retaining walls around the edges. I have an existing and proposed surface. Is there a good way to define the retaining wall heights required?
My idea is to drop the exact same feature line on each of the surfaces to pick up the surface elevations. Then I could put the elevations in an excel table and do a quick comparison to determine the heights. The problem I have with this method, is I don't know how to add multiple points to a feature line, say ever 15'? I know how to add them one by one, but that seams pretty arduous.
Can someone help with this method, or suggest a much better one? FYI..I am fairly new at Civil 3D and I know I am terrible inefficient at the moment, so if there are other ways to do this, please suggest. Thanks
when you edit FL Geo to add a PI on the command line select the option for (I)nterval and you can specify the distance
