My firm submitted a drawing file to our client that is in standard decimal units used by surveyors everywhere, but our client wants the drawing file in architectural units. I made sure all layers were thawed and on ans all points were on and visible. Then I scaled all by a factor of 12 using 0,0,0 as the base point and eveything scaled except the points and the Surface data. Is there a way to get the point data and surface model to scale and display correctly?
Using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011
Thanks

Danny,

Short answer: Depends. Probably not. C3D doesn't like Arch Units. And if your Client is asking for Arch Units, they probably have Vanilla AutoCAD and can't use and won't see the C3D Objects anyway. You might ask them what version of ACAD they want to open the drawing with.

I would be explaining the insunits, insunitsdefsource and insunitdeftarget varibles to that client. Those were created just for this situation.
