DATA SHORTCUT- SURFACES

Im having trouble creating a surface data shortcut of a surface that has a paste surface in it. Could the surface paste be the reason a shortcut will not produce??

hello,

What is the message error has?

A fault in creating the shortcut can occur for several reasons, but so that we can help is necessary to know which type of error.

Thanks

There was no error message.

I just figured it out. Seems autocad did not like the surface name as it was too long. I simplified it and then it worked!!

Thanks.

Ok

You should be careful not to use special characters.

bye

It's not likely the source of the problem.  Creating the data shortcut should not have anything to do with how the surface is created.

The surface is sound. Done properly. Once the surface name was shortened, the shortcut created.

Lesson,

When creating complex surfaces, and/or having multiple surfaces in one drawing, use the description box to describe the surface buing built, do not try to describe it in the name box by short abbreviations .
