Data shortcut node not populating using PP tool

I have a user trying to use PP to create sheets. No discernable hicups during the wizard march, all the sheets get created in the desired location, the alingments and profiles show up in the new files and DS but the data shortcut node is empty. Has anyone seen thi behavior in 2014?

I've not noticed this in 2014 but is SHORTCUTNODE set to 0 when this happens?

That's all that comes to mind, it's a system setting, not a dwg setting so if off the user would be missing it in all dwg's until changing back to 1.

Another way to make it disappear is turning of Prospector of Toolspace but I think you mentioned you could see the shortcuts.
