Custom Linetypes w/shapes

I am trying to figure out a way, or a best practice workflow to get my custom linetypes with shapes to begin and end with a shape.  Sounds easy right?....  Not so much.

*TRACKS2,Tracks -|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-
A,.15,[TRACK1,ltypeshp.shx,s=.25],.15,[TRACK1,ltypeshp.shx,s=.25]

Add the shape as the last instruction in the line. The example above ends each segment with a track.

I am having the same results with either of these formats:

*TRACKS2,Tracks -|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-
A,.15,[TRACK1,ltypeshp.shx,s=.25],.15,[TRACK1,ltypeshp.shx,s=.25]

*TRACKS2,Tracks -|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-|-
A,.15,[TRACK1,ltypeshp.shx,s=.25],.15

I need a line to place the shapes at the desired frequency while beginning,
and ending with a shape. It can not split the remainder of the line into
both ends of the line.

To resolve that the only thing you can do is use enable linetype generation, that's the nature of the linetype, if you only draw a line a certain exact distance it will do things as you desire other linetype gen is you friend 🙂

As a surveyor creating figures, I have overcome this by using Marker Styles within Figure Styles, where you can place markers at endpoints and other locations on the figures. Not so helpful for general draughting though.
