Curvature Diagram in Profile Bands

Hi!!!

When i do the curvature Diagram in proflie bands the civil3d put a curvature greater when i have a greather radious. Why dont put for small radious a curvature higher?????

I attached a file to precise my question.

Thanks..

Joao,

The file you had attached, wb_band.dwg seems to have an exploded version
of the profile view. Could you post another file that has the actual
Civil 3D object? Thanks.

Hi Himashu:

The file is too heavy. But if you go to GSG_features_profiles.dwg the problem persists. Try to change the horizontal geometry style to a style named curvature and you see the problem.

I remember that curvature=1/R.

Is possible to change the component of curvature diagrams??

Thanks...

Joao,

There may be some confusion here - when I change the band style for the
Horizontal Geometry in the file you mention, I do see the correct
geometry information. The R value shown that is the Radius of the
curve, not the curvature. Are you expecting the R value to be the
curvature?

Yes you can change the components displayed in the bands, of which the
"Curvature" is an example. Invoke Profile View properties, go to the
bands tab, select the "Curvature" style and edit that.

In the "Band details" tab, select "Curve" in the Labels and ticks group,
and click on the "Compose Label..." button.

In the Label Style Composer - Curve dialog, select the "Contents" field
in the Text category and click on it once to see the "..." button.
Click on the "..." button and that will invoke the "Text Component
Editor - Label Text" dialog.

In that you can edit the components of the band.

Hi Himanshu.

I am not expecting that R value to be the curvature.

I expect that the diagrame have vertical distances according with curvature and not with radius.

Is possible to change not the component of curvature diagrams but the diagrame itself.???

I attached other drawing to understand my question.

Thanks Joao.

In civil 3d you can create the bands you are talking about with a band
style.

Joao,

A defect has been filed for this issue. Thanks for your report.

Yes. 2007 has Curvature and Radius Schematics separately.

Joao,

As Chakri said: yes, it is in C3D 2007. This feature is based on your
request. Hope that helps you in your work,
