cross section problem

I am having difficulty creating cross sections, I have my surface, profiles, alignments, corridors, sample lines, etc.

When I attempt to create the cross sections I get an error that says "FAILED OPENING FIRST SECTION LINE GROUP OF ALIGNMENT <lists alignment name>"

Please help!!!

Does an AUDIT pass on your drawing?

Examine each sample line group for the alignment - is everything OK there?  If not, create (multiple) section view will give you this error.

I ran the audit and that seemed to resolve the cross section issue. Now my design corridor seems to be pinning itself to a zero elevation and most of my feature lines are spiking to zero elevations at multiple points over the featureline.

Hi,

I have had the same problem and audit did not fix this problem. So, I restarted the civil 3d drawing and then it worked fine.

Cheers,

Had this problem on the end of a workday. Next day it was still present so a full laptop restart didn't solve the problem.
A simple Audit did work though.
