cross section link slope label

Is there a way to create a sloep label in ratio format that can display different precisions? I may just be missing an expression value. For example, if the slope is 3:1, 4:1, or 6:1 I want to show no decimals. If the slope is 2.5:1 or some other value that isn't a whole number, I woul dliek to see 1 decimal. Is this possible? I will keep playing with styles. Thanks.
