Hi,

>> pls need the procedure step by step

It makes no sense to write here once more all step by step what is already written and prepared for reading 😉

Look >>>here<<< and go through the tutorial sessions.

Hi,

The process is fairly simple.

Firstly open Civil 3D and go to the 'Prospector' Palette/ToolSpace... You need to expand Data Shortcuts. If this has a path set already you will need to Set a Working Folder for you project, once you have done this you need to then create a New Data Shortcuts Folder... Give it a name and description and remember to select the 'Use Project Template'. Set the Data Shortcuts folder and then you are all set.

Open the 2 drawings you want to create data shortcuts for but make sure they are in your project folder. Good to keep things together. When you open the drawings amke sure they are saved! When they are you can start sharing them. Select Data Shortcuts in each drawing and share what information you want. Dont share the same thing from each. Make sure there is one version of the truth!

Once you have done this, open a new drawing and simply reference in what you have shared by selecting the named surfaces / alignments / pipe networks / view frame groups, right click and create reference.

  1. Set Working Folder
  2. New Data Shortcuts Project Folder
  3. Set Data Shortcuts Project Folder
  4. Open drawings and save them
  5. Create Data Shortcuts
  6. Open Blank drawing
  7. Create reference to shortcuts

Hope that helps???

Regards,
