Creating CL Points from Profile

hey,

I need to extract centerline elevations from a finished CL profile. From reading other topics here it seems the way to do this is by extracting COGO points from the corridor model along the CL. This isn't really what I need, but I can create an ASCII file from the points and pull the elevation data in a spread sheet. But, is there a better way? And, what I would really like is to also extract the station value for each CL point. If I create an alignment label style that shows the elevation and station, can I then extract this label data to get it into a spreadsheet or ASCII file?

To summarize - I want to pull finished CL elevation with its station from a corridor or profile and be able to import this data into a spreadsheet.

I am using C3D release 2011, Win 7, capable machine, everything up to date.

THANKS.

Why not use the Incremental Stationing profile report? It will save the station and profile elevation directly to an Excel file.

Well, that creates an XML file. Profiles_in_CSV creates an Excel file, but it doesn't create what I select/deselect. Still, if I want stationing the solution seems to be in a report, so I will keep plodding away. Is it possible to create custom reports without getting into code?

thanks again.

Yep, my mistake. I didn't look close enough when I checked out files of type. As it is I copied/pasted into Excel and it placed the data into cells so I am off and running.

thanks for your help.
