Create View Frames at 500 Feet

No matter what I try, settings I change, or different scenarios, the software will not place 500 feet on a sheet.  It will only do 400 feet.  Is there anyway to force this?

Hey TIm. Isn't this controlled by the viewport size in the page setup template and the drawing scale?

I thought it was.  I have created a max size viewport, but using 1:20, will not cut a 500 foot view frame for nothing.

Todd, using 2012 I have an 11x17 sheet, 50 scale and my viewframes are 600'. Same thing in 2015, so my vp scale, etc. are working as expected.

It's the OOTB Arch D 20 scale template file.

I know for a fact that I can get 500 foot per sheet.  The customer has 30 sheets that look like this...

It will not ONLY create these every 400 foot.  Why has there never been an option to specify how many feet per sheet?

Did the customer apply a value for the match line repositioning when they created the sheets (third page of the wizard)? Perhaps the match lines were moved to these stations?

Yes sir.  Snap match lines down to the nearest was set as well.  Repositioning is set to 100.  I also tried setting the repositioning to 0, still cuts them every 400 foot at 20 scale.

I'm using the Civil Imperial template, set vframe to start 25' before the alignment, set increment to nearest 10' with a 25' overlap for repositioning.  I get 500' vframes.

Yep, me too! C3D since the 2005 version, and I'm still learning. I love it when I learn something!

Intersting!  I had a client this week with the exact same request. The only way I was able to figure this out was to manually change everything (unlock the viewport, manually adjust the viewscale, edit the matchlines, adjust the profile view extents).  I don't think there is any other way.  Of course, I'd love for one of you to prove me wrong here.

Of course if would have read the second page of the post then I would have seen that Lisa did find a way.  She always does.  Way to go, Lisa!
