Create Pipe Network causes crash

I have been trying all day to create a pipe network for a drawing, and everytime I click the Pipe Network Creation Tool, autocad closes. I'm using the new template we created for 2014. I also noticed that the network parts lists have no pipes in them, and it will not allow me to add any parts to the list - that also will make it crash. But if I open one of the templates that comes in Autocad and try to create a pipe network, it works like it's supposed to. I have been trying all day to figure out what the problem is. This is the first survey I've done using linework, and I can't help but wonder if that has anything to do with it. It doesn't seem that it should, but I don't know where else to turn. Any assistance is appreciated. Here is the error I am receiving:

Enter SETNETWORKCATALOG @ command line.

Is the Pipe Network catalog (same as used to create the parts list) mapped correctly here?

Yes, but that is also strange. It's mapped to the location of the Pipes Catalog, however, when I try to add new parts to the list, or create a new parts list, or anything else, autocad is forced to close.
