CREATE CROSS SECTIONS FROM EXISTING .DWG

Hello to everybody! I am a newby in civil3d 2012. I'm trying to find out how to create cross sections from existing ones that i have in autocad file. I allready have read for the way with offsets points, but is there a way to make full cross sections from the allready drawned????Is it possible to convert the existing lines???

You will need surface(s) to do that.

Obviously you can manipulate your existing cross sections by normal Autocad lines, etc., then plot but that is it.

Yes, i can manipulate just in simple autocad..but i need to put the existing cross sections in order to use them for volume purposes...and since civil is such a fine program i was thinking that there should be a way to manipulate the "ready" thing Smiley Wink...there are other simplest progs where you can import existing cross sections from dxf file...thank you Bill anyway

Hey there neilyj:

After watching the video, it appears to me that I could use the PGL from the cross-sections and design it easier than digitizing all those sections.

The choice is entirely down to the user - use whichever is quickest/easiest...:)
