Corridor and assemblies from polylines

Hi Everybody,

If the designers are kind enough to pass on a digital design file (usually DXF) then I would like to be able to convert this data into:

1) Alignment (easily done)

2) Corridor (easily done minus the assembly)

3) Assembly (Cannot figure this part out)...

If you were given design road data by a dxf file what process would you go through to produce the required Civil 3d elements?

Thanks in advance,

Strsi681

If none of these elements were provided then what exactly is in this "design" dfx file ?
Thank you

I guess you'd just have to start from scratch using the appropriate subassembblies that come out of the box, or create your own when they don't.

What kind of work will you be doing with this data? Has it already been designed and you have to design it again? That is what it kind of sounds like.
