Copy/Paste Arx Error

I recently installed Civ 3D 2007, the whole enchilada as part of the "yearly upgrade" (what a scam). I am the only one in the office with this program and 99.9999% of our projects and refference material is saved in an older version. Every time that I want to copy/paste I get ARX ERROR:eDuplicateKey. Even if I open a project that has been worked on in CIV 3D 2007 in an older version and then try and copy something from another older project I get the same error. Is there an easy way to copy/paste from old to new and vise versa? If not Autodesk should fix this in there yearly "new product"
