Contours on TIN Volume surface not showing

I cannot get ANY contours to show on my TIN Volume Surface. I have gone under the analysis tab, added the ranges. I have gone back into the surface styles, made sure that under the Contour Ranges, that Use Color Scheme is on.  

I have tried two different drawings. I created a new surface in a different drawing and project and tried it there too. I got the elevation banding to work, but not the contours.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Are you using an appropriate contour spacing?

Have you turned off Level of Detail?

Better question, are you sure you have the Major and Minor contours set to display in the Display Tab? You don't need to use the Analysis tab to just show the contours.

And as neilyj mentioned, check the contour intervals. Maybe your surface is (for example) only within 1-5m range, but your contour intervals are at 10m. It might not show up.

Lastly, check if all your Layers are on.

Thanks for the replys.

The contour style I was using works on my regular surface, but not on the volume surface and I have the intervals as 0.1 and 0.5 so it should show up. Checked that all the layers were on, both in the style and in the drawing.  The elevation banding works, but not the contours.

I am in Civil 3D 2011, so Level of Detail is not an option.

Any other ideas?

If you could post your drawing we could probably do more than guess.

Thanks all. I worked with our AutoCAD provider and we went through a bunch of things and all we can determine is that something is wrong with our template and it won't let me contour the volume surface with even the surface style. I was able to wblock it out, open the block (so basically have no styles) and then recreate a volume surface and it worked.

Off to figure out what is wrong with the template.
