Contour Label: Significant figures

How do I change the number of significant figures, (precision), of the
contour label. I am labeling only 1 foot intervals, Civil 3-D keeps giving
precision out to thousands of feet. Just need it to feet.

Thanks,

BH

You'll find that in the settings tree under Surface>Contour. Edit the
contour style of choice, pick the Layout tab and click the ... next to the
text in the Content field. You'll see the precision value here.

I tried going to:
Setting: Surface: Label Styles: Contour:

I created a New Contour Label Style and set the following:
Layout: Surface Elevation: Text: Contents <[surface
elevation(uft|p1|rn|sn|of|ap)]>

I was not able to change the Standard to that above. The existing value p3
would not change to p1, (which I think is precision).

Where do I apply the Contour Label Style I have created to my displayed
surface?

Thanks

BH

Hello Matt,

I am not able to modify the properties within the Text Component Editor.

But I was able to create a new Style.

How do I get my surface to accept the newly created Label Style?

Thanks,

BH

Ok, I figured it out.

I had to copy the text string in the Text Component Editor to note pad, (or
some other text editor).

<[Surface Elevation(Uft|P3|RN|Sn|OF|AP)]>

Then I changed to P3 to P0

<[Surface Elevation(Uft|P0|RN|Sn|OF|AP)]>

then I pasted the changed string back into the Text Componebt Editor.

That worked.

Thanks,

BH

Just erase the "[Surface Elevation(Uft|P3|RN|Sn|OF|AP " from the viewer.
Change your precision, then use the Arrow Button and "shoot" it back in the
viewer.
