I have a user that just got an install of Civil 3D 2015 sp1 on a Windows 7 64-bit PC. He needs to connect to a SQL-based ArcGIS 10.0 SDE to access some of our spatial data. I can't seem to get the connection to work. I tried adding it with the Civil 3d "Add ArcSDE Connection" tool, but though I can hit the Login and Connect buttons there, the Data Store drop down doesn't populate and I never am able get the Version to populate or let me type anything in. I tried adding DLLs from our SDE server per this article: http://www.thecadmasters.com/wordpress/index.php/2013/12/06/connecting-to-esri-arcsde-using-autocad-..., but that didn't solve the issue. I, personally, am not an AutoCAD user and pretty unfamiliar with the program other than trying to set up the database connection for my user. Does anyone have any insight as to what I need to do to get this connection to our ArcGIS 10.0 SDE set up?
The only solution for 2015 is to move to 32 bit. There is no FDO solution for 64 bit as yet..
