computer crash when auditing or purging drawing

I have been trying to audit and/or purge a 2009 C3D drawing which I created, and have since opened in 2012 C3D. When I try to do either one of these functions, my computer completely locks up and then I get the blue screen of death for a little bit and then it restarts asking if it should restart in safe mode, yadayadayada...anybody else have this issue with 2012 C3D? Anything that I need to do to prevent this from happening?

You stated that you opened the drawing in 2012. Have you saved it in 2012? If not try to recover/audit it in 2009 first.

I just had a drawing today that was last saved in 2009 and when I tried to recover or audit it in 2012 it would crash. I recovered it in 2009 and saved it. After that I was able to recover it in 2012.

Have you tried recover in 2012?

Thank you Jeff...I recovered it in 2012 and then was able to audit and purge the file. Good Call!!
