cogo points plan readability

My delima is regarding cogo point readability. I'm used to LDD so this may be the issue. I set a cogo point but I want it to stay in the same orientation. if I use orbit or dview the cogo point data reorients (rotates) to line up horizontally. I would like the data to remain as set originally. I tried changing plan readabilty in label styles but when I drag the point it rotates to the current view orientation. Is there a way to control the rotation once dragged so it does not reorient if I change the orbit or dview?

I believe you can in the dragged state settings. I will check.

Not sure if this works and am not at a point to test it.

try changing dispaly to "as composed" and see if it helps here.

Let us know if it worked so I dont mislead the next reader

John,

Much thanks. It works to control the cogo point text. But, now I see that the leader needs to be controlled. Any idea.

right click and edit the leader opions shown here

leader attachment and leader justification.

I am just guessing again but HEY I'm on a roll so why not.

Remember to accept solutions and a KUDDO once in a while is great for the on-line ego LOL

yeah, I have NO pride.

If the display is set to composed then everything else is greyed out. If display is staked then I can change leasder attachment. which did not resolve the odd leader once dragged. Appreciate your help. Any other idea.

yup.

change back to stacked. this will allow you tio change the options for the leader.

Change back to as composed afterwards and see what happens.

Still guessing.

I suspect the one you want to change is leader justification.

Still guessing here.

I've tried changing leader justification to false with no difference. Also being silly I tried all the attachment options. No change????

Here is another take on the issue that may actually solve your problem. We may have only put a band-aid on it with my suggestions.
