cogo points at elevation zero?

curious about cogo points. How do i set them at elevation zero. Having problems drawing dashed lines from node to node. I was thinking that you could place the points at "zero" but the attribute in the cogo point would still hold the correct elevation. Thanks

You shouldn't need to, I suspect you are trying to draw a line or 3dpolyline both of which can have differing start/end elevations.

If you draw a Polyline then this will retain the elevation of the first point selected and generate the dash linetype correctly.

Alternatively you can detail a featureline which simmilarly generates the lineetype correctly or convert the 3dpolyline to a 2d polyline.

If you wanted them at 0, you will have to alter your point styles.  On the 3D Geometry tab, you can set it to Flatten Points to Elevation = 0.

If Setting variable OSNAPZ is set to 1, your lines will be drawn at the current "Elevation" value rather than inhereiting the snapped point value.
