civil3d text too small in paper space

I'm working with an alignment xref'd into a sheet file. The drawing is METRIC and the scale is set to 1000/600 (1:600, but multiplied by 1000 due to the mm to m conversion). I've tried changing the drawing scale in the drawing settings in the xref and sheet file and the annotative scale in both drawings as well and the text in paper space does not change at all. How can I get the text to display properly? I've never worked with metric drawings before and I'm assuming this is related to that. Units in both drawings are set to meters under 'units' and drawing settings.

thanks,
-jakub

You need to be more specific.
You have:
1. Civil 3D Object Text
2. Plain Jane AutoCAD Annotative Text
3. Plain Jane text. (non annotative)

The Drawing Scale controls the Civil 3D Object text.
You do not have Civil 3D Object Text in paper space.

It is Civil 3D object text like I mentioned in the title. Station offset labels, alignment labels, and line and curve bearing labels.

Your title says, "civil3d text too small in paper space" which implies the
text in the layout itself..
1. Check the scale of your viewport.
2. Check the size of your text in the style.

If the text is too small, you have to make the text larger in the style.
For instance, if your text is 0.10" tall in the style then that is the size
your text should be when plotted.

Here are my 2 cents.
Cent 1:Freeze the alignment and alignments labels as brought in by the xref. Use data shortcut to data reference the alignment and label in the plan sheet drawing itself.
Cent 2: Now set the model space scale to match the scale of the viewport.
Hope it works out for you.

Had severe problems with this, and it turned out the problem was the plot settings. In the plot dialogue box set the scale to mm instead of inches. Sounds irrelevant, but for some reason it worked for me!

P.S. to above: Make sure you "Apply to Layout" after you change the scale. Then do a plot preview or regenall the layout and see how it looks.

changing the page layout to mm helped. The text is almost the right size. I had to make a few adjustments to the text size and annotative scale in the xref, but it's displaying correctly now.

thanks
