Civil 3D Storm Inlet Profile Drawing Length not Width

In Civil 3D 2013, when I profile a storm pipe network, the profile is drawing the inlet length (perpendicular to my alignment), rather than the inlet width (parallel to my alignment). How do I fix this? Everything is correct in plan view, it's just the profile that is wrong.

the profile looks right to me. Isnt the profile cutting the box across the shortter width? why are the plan stations different then the profile stations?

I extended the profile stations to allow for some blank space for labels.

The inlet shown to the right as really wide in the profile is wrong - it should be the short width shown, not the long length.
