Civil 3d - Parcel labeling outside of parcel

When creating and labelling a parcel Autocadd Civil 3d places a label in an adjoining area outside of the intended parcel.

The label seems ubrelated to the intended parcel and is labelled with a diferent parcel number, area, etc.. No additional parcel boundaries seem to be created.

Have created a closed polyline for parcel creation as well as a number of other steps to ensure that there are no breaks in the enclosed parcel.

With the limited amount of information you are supplying and no version # for what you are using we can only guess. My first stab would be to check your Parcel/Label Style/Area that is being utilized. Check to see if there are X & Y text offsets that are pushing label to the side. Your drawing scale setting could be large and text style could contributing to this part of the problem also. For the unrelated area, check your text content units in the label style. Could you be in a "feet" drawing and your label style has "meters"? Also, we have experienced problems when parcels overlap or even have a common boundary line when defining them in the same "Site". While in the Create Parcels from Objects dialogue box, select/create a different "Site" than any existing Sites. Try copying the style used, switch the bad label to that style, then manipulate various settings in the copied style to see what changes.

What you are probably seeing is the site area label. This is a parcel area label that is applied to the entire site.  You can control this on the Composition tab of the Site Parcel Properties dialog.  Right-click on the Parcels node under your site in Prospector and select the Properties... command to access.

Yes, Thank You That makes sense, as all other parcel area labels function as expected and that label had an unusual area calculated. I will try that when back at the office. Regards fbasciano
