Civil 3D Mass Haul Diagram - What's the point??

Does anyone find these useful as they are used in Civil 3D??

Mass Hauls in themselves are extremely useful but In my opinion in C3D they are a total waste of effort e.g. there is no way to label ordinate values with volumes

I have to export the underlying volume data to Excel and create the mass haul there.

Anyone disagree??

They're useful as a designer's tool but they suck for presentation - can't label borrow/waste quantities, can't split the diagram for sheet drawings etc.  I still don't understand why there is an option to graph only the cut, fill, or unusable.

It would be good if they could be labelled as a special sort of profile object. I suspect mass haul diagrams aren't sexy enough for Autodesk developers to bother with

The last thing I need today is the image of whatever an Autodesk developer might find sexy...
